In His Shoes stands on both coasts 30,000 in Washington; 5,000 in San Francisco to HELP STOP THE GENOCIDE IN DARFUR
This is ONE genocide we can do something about. This is a genocide happening and can be stopped! Last weekend, the In His Shoes mission was at two SAVE DARFUR rallies on both coasts in Washington DC and San Francisco.
Since returning from Rwanda, Fr. Vazken has been delivering the message of urgency at schools, town-hall meetings and churches. With postcards in hand, the In His Shoes mission has been signing up thousands of people for the Million Postcard campaign. Those cards were delivered to the Washington DC rally by Rev. Fr. Tateos Abdalian, who addressed the gathering of 30,000 in a soul stirring message. On the West Coast, thousands gathered across the Golden Gate Bridge in a demonstration of solidarity.
In an interview on NBC TV - journalist Nick Clooney, returning from Darfur with his son, Actor George Clooney, emphasized that Darfur is the only Genocide in modern history that CAN BE stopped. Its in our power. Its another set of shoes we're determined to walk in...
